Dear Family

Hope everyone is well and had comfortable flights home after an amazing Yom Tov BH!

Mazal Tov Avi on your real birthday this coming week. Happy though that we could celebrate your English birthday with you last week BH!

The whole period from Elul through to Rosh Hashana, Yom Kippur, Sukkos, Shemini Atzeres and Simchas Torah, and even through to the end of Tishrei is a very full and rich period where we gather in the old year, make new resolutions, sit in Judgement in front of Hashem, do Teshuvah, and then burst out in Joy on Sukkos, Shemini Atzeres and Simchas Torah.

This is every year, but it was even more so this Year, where almost all of the Family were gathered together due to Mommy's birthday, and this added an even higher dimension to everything.

We have all filled up our 'vessels' with many riches (physical and spiritual) which we have gathered from all these experiences, and we are making our way back to the world and our regular ordinary lives.

This is described by the expression we use at this time of Year - Yaakov holech ledarko - JACOB GOES ON HIS WAY

But we take all the treasures we have gathered, keep them in storage, and draw on them throughout the coming Year to strengthen and brighten our Journies.

An interesting item came to my attention regarding Rambam learning.

The completion of learning Rambam 3 Chapters a day (which takes 1 year to complete) took place this Sukkos, and the restarting from the beginning again was on Hoshana Raba

Someone noticed that

1. Start of new cycle was Hoshana Raba, the 7th day of Sukkos

2. In Tishrei, the 7th Month

3. In the Year 5777

4. And the initiator of this amazing Project of Learning was the Lubavitcher Rebbe, the 7th of the Chabad Rebeiim

There are also many people learning one Chapter a day over 3 Years

This current Cycle is up to Sefer Tahara, Hilchot Tumat Ochalim, Chapter14

And our very abbreviated Summary of 5 minutes overview per week are the 7 Chapters of Tumat Ochalim 9 - 16, P24 of Book 10
