Dear Family,

Hope everyone is well.

Mazal Tov to Rivky on qualifying in her Accounting course after spending many years studying part-time and juggling this with raising her Family together with Shmuel etc. Well done Rivky - amazing achievement.

Mazal Tov to Hirshy for more excellent scores coming in, this time in Philosophy. BH

Welcome back Chava from your successful Winter Camp in SA, which was also very enjoyable.

Thank you Kerry Lee for meeting up with Chava in SA and making her feel so welcome.

One short Dvar Torah from the Rambam, caught my attention this week, and it resonated very much like parts of this week's Sedra Vaeschanan.

For those learning 1 Chapter of Rambam per day over 3 years, we have been learning the halachos relating to Judges (Sefer Shoftim, Hilchos Sanhedrin) - This is the last of the 14 Books of The Mishneh Torah.

.

Chapter 24 was talking about how there are times when a judge can use his discretion in judging certain cases, based on what he feels strongly in his heart as being true, and also what is necessary for the Community in that period of time and circumstance.

But all of his deeds should be for the sake of the HONOUR OF HEAVEN, and the HONOUR AND DIGNITY OF PEOPLE should be precious in his eyes.

From his side there must be no personal elements involved.

When a person dishonours the Torah his person will be dishonoured by people at large.

Conversely when a person honours the Torah, this person will be honoured by people at large.

And there is no other honour for the Torah except to FOLLOW IT'S STATUTES AND JUDGEMENTS.

Gut Shabbos to all.
