EDUCATION CONTINUED - PREVENTION

I hope everyone is well.
Mazal Tov to Hirshy and Mariasha on their Anniversary tomorrow.
Mazal Tov to Reuven and Chana Lieba for their Anniversary on Shabbos
And on the same day is Sara's birthday! So Boston is very much on the horizon now with celebrations this Shabbos and we are sure busily preparing for Sara's wedding week after next! One simcha should lead to another for your Family, and for the whole extended Family, especially for all who are still waiting to find their bashert.
And then there is another Anniversary coming up next week and that is Mendel and Freida. Mazal Tov. And also Mazal Tov to Mendel on the marriage of his brother Laivi this week. Again one simcha should lead to many more BEH!
Mazal Tov to Zalmy on his upcoming birthday next week. Wishing you a great year in gashmiyus and ruchnius Zalmy.
Wishing safe trips for all those who are travelling, Shmuel and Dovi in EY, Pesach in California, Batsheva in California etc
As we continue with our subject of CHINUCH - EDUCATION, it did come to mind this week,that there are probably many more quiet graduations going on than the few that we knew about last week!
For example Mommy mentioned to me that she had heard that Renee and Roy's grandson graduated.
So Mazal Tov to the Cobbs and everyone else who has graduated this year!
We have re-started reading Pirkei Avos again (Ethics of the Fathers) - we read a chapter every Shabbos all the way through to Sukkos.
And so this week is related to Chapter 1 which we read last Shabbos.
I listened to a very interesting shiur from Rabbi Lipskier on EDUCATION in relation to this first perek of Pirkei Avos.
He is a young speaker and as such does not speak that well, but the messages he brings out are very powerful.
I am therefore attaching it (it is only half an hour!), as I think it may be of interest to all the doctors in the Family, BH, to all parents with children, and for ourselves as adults.
The verses that he focuses on are:
1. V6 '..make for yourself a mentor or Rav, and find (purchase) for yourself a good friend..'
2. V10 '..Love work, hate high positions, and stay clear of politics.....' (translation will be clarified in the shiur)
