Dear Family,

I hope everyone is well, and had a Gut Yom Tov.

In London BH it has been very eventful, and packed with so many varied activities for us and for all the visitors, who came and helped make the Yom Tovim so special for us, especially the Families who travelled from far to be here.

Wishing everyone safe trips back home, and thank you!

It would be impossible to describe all the events and moods from Rosh Hashanah, through Yom Kippur, and then Sukkos and then Shemini Atzeres and Simchas Torah, but it culminated with us all taking on new resolutions of how to improve in the New Year.

On Shemini Atzeres (or it could have been Shabbos before Shemini Atzeres), Mendel Kehaty made a small party for all of us, celebrating the fulfilment of the resolution he took on, at this time last year.

He managed to keep up the daily learning of Chumash, Tanya, Tehillim and one chapter a day of Rambam's Mishneh Torah throughout the year.

Mazal Tov Mendel and thanks for reminding us of the importance of this daily learning, and motivating us to make new resolutions for this year!

Something else he spoke about in the process, was how the Rebbe, on Simchas Torah in the first 10 years of his leadership, taught us a new song every year.

And so I was most interested to find a video recording of one of these years when the Rebbe taught, and explained the meaning of the song Tzama lecha nafshi - My soul thirsts for You.

The first part is the song itself, and then there is a second part where the Rebbe explains its deeper meaning, of how 'the foolish king' plays his part in trying to mislead and tempt us into going astray, and how we can overcome this and experience tremendous growth in the process.

Enjoy, and wishing everyone a Gut Shabbos and wonderful year with much achievement. (see below)
