FLOWERS WITH EARS
Dear Family,
I hope everyone is well.
Mazal Tov Baty on your birthday tomorrow. May you have a year of much growth, with happiness and good health, and nachas from all your children!
You know, each week I look out for interesting items to share with the Family, and I see what comes my way.
But this week I was really 'bowled over' with, especially one item which came to my attention.
And I am going to have to announce that we have a quiet and amazing niece/cousin in our Family. And having said that I am sure we have many more quiet and amazing members of our Family and extended Family on our email and beyond, and we would like to hear more from everyone!
I am a follower of Sefaria, which is an extensive and impressive online library of Torah works which is freely available to everyone.
And so I opened an email from Sefaria this week, and the subject was TU BISHVAT, which is fast approaching next week. (Tu Bishvat is the New Year for Trees, and we have a custom to celebrate by eating many different fruits etc)
And what do you think I saw? No one will guess!

This is an amazing and interesting article connected to Tu Bishvat, with so many beautiful and diverse references.
So I hand over Dani's original!!

Well done Dani. So impressed! Keep up the good work!
And then another interesting article came my way on Research by Israeli scientists at Tel Aviv University who say that they have found a flower that HEARS THE APPROACH OF POLLINATING BEES AND HAWK-MOTHS.
They found that the sound of a flying bee, as well as synthetic sound signals of a similar frequency, induced the flower(the Evening Primrose) to produce sweeter nectar within 3 minutes.
The plant's ear is simply the petals themselves, which vibrate with the bee's sound frequency, stimulating the flower to produce the sweeter nectar, to attract the bee, which then pollinates the flower. - Article was seen in The Times of Israel

And 'How vast are Your works O G-d, You have made them all with wisdom. The earth is full of Your creations.' - Tehillim 104
Gut Shabbos and a Gut Tu Beav to all.
