AND WHAT AFTER PURIM?
Dear Family,
I hope everyone is well and enjoying Purim.
Mazal Tov to Ariella Davidoff for your birthday next week. Wishing you a great year Ariella!
We would like to wish long life to Mariasha on the loss of her grandfather today. You and your Family should only know simchos in the future Mariasha.
Also to wish Mommy long life on the yohrtzeit of her sister Simcha, this coming week. Her neshamah should have an aliyah.
In London Purim has almost ended, but probably in other parts of the world it is still going strong.
And what now that Purim is ending? Does everything go flat after all the partying?
By the way Mommy and I really feel humbled to have seen all the care and thought each member of the Family has put in to making shlach manos for each other.
This has taken a tremendous amount of thought, time, artistic talent, expense etc, with so much love.
And all the costumes, etc, etc.
We are proud of you all BH
The Megillah says that AFTER THE MIRACLE OF PURIM, the Yidden were blessed with simcha (JOY).
Our Rabbis understand this to mean that they were now able to celebrate the Yomim Tovim. (in the future)
The Rebbe explains that although other Nations also have holidays, they celebrate them with drinking and unbridled conduct.
Am Yisrael, by contrast, even when they rejoice and drink, they become closer to Hashem, and heighten their Yiras Shamayim (Fear of Heaven) and holiness.
Gut Shabbos to all, and with much JOY
