Dear Family,

I hope everyone is well.

Mazal Tov to Shmuel and Rivky on their wedding Anniversary tonight. Wishing you to keep progressing together from strength to strength and with much joy, and nachas from your Family.

Mazal Tov to Avi and Penina on their wedding Anniversary next week. One simchah should keep leading to another, and with much achievement.

Mazal Tov to Kerry Lee on her birthday next week. I hope all is going well with you and your Family Kerry Lee, and wishing you a wonderful year.

I saw an interesting Dvar Torah in todays Hayom Yom about the FIRE OF THE MIZBEACH (Altar), and of course this week's Sedra Ki Tissa, also speaks about a 'coin of fire', which is another interesting subject.

In the Hayom Yom, The Rebbe explains what the Magid of Mezeritch taught The Alte Rebbe in Yechidus on the pasuk "Esh tamid tukad al haMizbeach. Lo tichbeh" - A constant fire shall burn on the Altar. It should not be extinguished.

The simple meaning of "lo tichbeh" is that it (the fire) should not be extinguished.

But the Magid looks deeper, and explains it as "the LO (the NO - lo also means no in Hebrew)" should be extinguished ie Lo, (comma) tichbeh, should be extinguished.

All the procedures in the Bet HaMikdash, also reflect what goes on inside of us as individuals.

With the FIRE of the Mizbeach, a miracle occurred initially where Hashem sent down a FIRE to consume the Sacrifice.

And then there is a Mitzvah on our side to light the fire from below, and keep the FIRE continually burning with wood etc.

The Zohar explains that a spirit from below, draws down a Spirit from Above, and draws down a spirit from the highest realms.

Ie the way we act here below on earth, causes an equivalent reaction to us from Above.

The FIRE represents continual enthusiasm and positivity, against the negativity towards G-dliness (against the inner voice which says lo ie no to spirituality)

So the above verse can be understood in a new light "A constant FIRE shall burn on the Altar. It should extinguish the NO"

Gut Shabbos to all.
