FAITH AND HEALING
Dear Family,
I hope everyone is keeping well.
Mazal Tov to Ariella Davidoff whose birthday is on Shabbos. That is right before Pesach this year. Wishing you a great year Ariella!
Mazal Tov to Slomo Levy whose birthday is on the second night of Pesach. Wishing you to go from strength to strength Shlomo in both gashmius and ruchnius!
And last but not least, following on in chol hamoed, is the barmitzvah of Ariel in Sydney. What a great milestone for you Ariel! Enjoy, and wishing you to become an important member of Klal Yisrael, and with much joy. MAZAL TOV!
We also remember Aunty Girlie Sacks with fondness, whose yohrtzeit is also on the second day of Pesach. Wishing all her Family long life.
As things may be very busy tomorrow and Friday, I am sending the email earlier this week (and keeping it short!)
From the Hayom Yom of 15th of Nissan, the Alte Rebbe declared:
"The matzah of the first night of Pesach is called the FOOD OF FAITH.
The matzah of the second night is called the FOOD OF HEALING.
When healing brings faith (because the person is grateful to Hashem for having healed him), then clearly there has been illness.
But when faith brings healing, there is no illness to begin with!!" (this needs to be thought about!)
And connected, in this weeks Parsha Tzav, is the Thanksgiving Offering (Todah), which was brought in gratitude to Hashem, when a person has come through successfully from a dangerous situation.
Wishing everyone a Gut Shabbos, and a Kosher and Happy Pesach
