CONQUERING WITH JOY

Dear Family,

I hope everyone is well.

Mazal Tov to Avi and Penina on their Anniversary this coming week. Wishing you much continued happiness together with much achievement in both the material and spiritual!

Mazal Tov to Ariella for her birthday this coming week. I hope all going well for you and wishing you a wonderful year Ariella!

We are now in the last week of our double Adar, and we still have time to add in joy.

We, and the whole world are all shocked, and in disbelief at the barbaric war going on in the Ukraine.

But I saw this week an interesting, related, short vort from Mashiach Day by Day for the 18th of Adar 2, to bring us joy and light in the darkness.

It says in Tehillim Chap 20, "These trust in chariots and these in horses, but we will call the Name of G-d, our G-d. They have bent and fallen, but we have risen and stand upright."

The Jewish People are called "the army of G-d".

But we are not like other armies.

Instead of using weapons of destruction to fight evil, we use Torah and Mitzvos.

Instead of bloodshed, WE CONQUER WITH JOY.

TO THE POINT THAT EVEN OUR ENEMY, THE EVIL INCLINATION, REJOICES IN OUR VICTORY.

(Because Hashem only created evil to test and challenge the good, so that we may prove our strength and dedication to G-d. Therefore the true purpose of evil is is fulfilled when we overcome it, and it then rejoices in having fulfilled it's purpose!)
