SUCCESSFUL EDUCATION
Dear Family,
I hope everyone is well
Mazal Tov to Binyomin whose birthday is tonight. Wishing you a year of much growth and happiness in both gashmius and ruchnius Binyomin!
Then on Pesach Seder second night, is the birthday of Shlomo Levy. Mazal Tov Shlomo! Keep up all your good work and learning and with much happiness.
Also on the second day of Pesach is the yohrtzeit of Aunty Girlie. Wishing all the Sacks Family long life, and remembering Aunty Girlie with much fondness.
I saw a summary of a talk that the Rebbe give at the Yud Shvat farbrengen in 1974 and these were some of the points which I found interesting, and related to the coming week:
The reason we are losing so many of our youth, is due to the collapse of the FAMILY UNIT.
All difficulties in father-son relationships, stem from the laxity in EDUCATING principles such as honoring one's father and mother, the obligation of a father to teach his children, etc.
Every nation in the world is dependant on family ties, especially the Jewish People.
The previous generation made the mistake of not investing enough into FAMILY TIME, thereby neglecting many youth, who were left despondent, to climb the walls of exile by themselves. Not surprisingly, they strayed...
Today too there are families where husband, wife and children all daven in separate shuls. This is a recipe for disaster!
FAMILIES MUST BE TOGETHER!
An opportune time for togetherness is Friday night.
The entire family should sit together, in a Shabbat atmosphere and discuss Shabbat topics.
This is the formula for a HEALTHY FAMILY and success in EDUCATION.
This coming week on Yud Aleph Nissan is the birthday of the Rebbe, who spent his life reaching out to, and EDUCATING our generation.
And soon after that, next week is Pesach, where we have another opportunity to bring our families together, to keep Yom Tov, and discuss and explore the meaning of FREEDOM.
Gut Shabbos and Gut Yom Tov. Wishing everyone a kosher and happy Pesach.
