Dear Family,

I hope that everyone is well.

Mazal Tov again to Zalmy and Nechama on their engagement in NY this past Sunday. It was so nice to be together with so many members of the Family BH. Wishing the wedding to be at a good and auspicious time, and with much success BEH!

Today we celebrate Tu BeShvat, (15th of Shvat) which is the New Year for trees.

Traditionally we try and recognize the multitude variety of Hashems creations by tasting from at least 15 fruits, and principally from the 7 species of Eretz Yisrael.

I believe that in EY they also plant trees.

Related, I saw a beautiful vort in today's Mashiach Day by Day, as follows:

Just as the greatest scientists will never discover the full potential of the resources that G-d placed into the earth, so too no one can fathom the great treasures that lie in the Jewish people.

The Torah compares us, the Jews, to a rich parcel of land capable of producing luscious gardens, and being full of HIDDEN TREASURES, like gold and diamonds.

Average land can produce staples like wheat and corn.

Delicacies like sweet fruit, fine wine, and the luscious honey of date palms, comes from finer soil and more tropical climates.

Moshiach will reveal the sweet secrets of the Torah, and uncover the divine gems hidden within each of us and in the entire world.

He will not only satisfy all of our physical and spiritual needs, but he will also bring us to a state of luxury, where we can experience the G-dly beauty of life.

It is not enough that we spiritually sustain ourselves and others, but we must enjoy it and make it sweet.

Gut Shabbos to all, and with many delicacies!
