THE POWER OF FAMILY

Dear Family,

I hope that everyone is well.

Mazal Tov to Binyamin Mordechai on his birthday next week. Wishing you a year of much growth and achievement Binyomin in both the material and spiritual and with much happiness. Continue to be a boy who does many Mitzvos!

The highlight of this past week has been experiencing THE POWER OF FAMILY, having been together with many members of Family and extended Family at the wedding and Sheva Brochos of Zalmy and Nechama BH.

I watched and reflected upon, the thousands of interactions that go on at every level, between infants, children, adults, parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts etc in every combination, and got a glimpse of the power and influence that a Family exerts on all its members, and all the goodness and kindness displayed ( and there is much more that we don't see, and what goes on the whole year quietly all over the world)

So interestingly, I found some insight into MARRIAGE in this week's Sedra Tazria, and I saw a very touching, related video clip, both of which I wanted to share.

Tazria (From Likutei Levi Yitzchak)

"When a woman conceives (tazria) and gives birth.(12:2)"

One of the points made was as follows:

"Once a couple is married, a paramount value that is also essential for the propagation and rearing of children, is SHALOM BAYIS, domestic peace and harmony.

The husband who lives according to this ideal, can be described by the phrase from Dovid Hamelech in Psalm 37:37 as "Ish Shalom", A man of peace

The numerical value of the Hebrew words, Ish Shalom, is equal to 687, which is exactly equal to the numerical value of the Hebrew word Tazria"

Our enemies want to destroy this unit in one form or another. But our aim is to keep building!
