NEVER TOO LATE FOR TESHUVAH

Dear Family,

I hope that everyone is well.

Wishing a refuah shleimah to Claude. Hope things are improving Claude.

Mazal Tov to Mendel and Freida on their Anniversary tonight. Wishing you both many more happy years together with much growth, and developing all the good things that you do!

I heard an interesting Dvar Toah from Rabbi Gordon on this weeks Parsha, Shlach, as follows:

We learnt previously about all the miracles that Bnei Yisrael saw and experienced, before, at, and after Har Sinai.

Yet, soon thereafter, we see all the times that Bnei Yisrael were rebelling against Hashem, complaining, being insolent, speaking negatively about Eretz Yisrael, acting immorally etc.

And we think to ourselves, "How could this be? How could they have been so foolish, time and time again, testing Hashem 10 times, after having seen with their own eyes, the greatness and the miracles!?

The price for those actions had to be paid and there were consequences, and people lost their lives.

But TESHUVAH IS ALWAYS AVAILABLE, AND IT IS NEVER TOO LATE.

And the Zohar tells us that the generation before Mashiach will be a re-incarnation of that generation which had to wander for 40 years in the Wilderness.

And it is us who are this generation, as the Rebbe has pointed out that we are the generation before Mashiach.

Therefore it is our responsibility to correct what that previous generation could not do.

We need to recognise that Eretz Yisrael, which Hashem promised to Avraham, Yitzchak and Yaakov belongs to us, and be proud, strong, consistent and devoted, battling against our Negative Inclinations.

Gut Shabbos to all.
