Dear Family,

I hope that everyone is well.

Family

I would like to welcome Shirley Isaacson to our Family Group.

Shirley is a first cousin of mine living in Toronto, and is a daughter of Uncle Morris ah. And Tracy, who joined a few weeks ago, is Shirley's daughter.

But it is now very easy to identify families and their links, from the brilliant Family tree which Kevin designed - see attached. Use the function Ctrl F to search.

So happy to be in touch with you again, Shirley!

There are currently 4 pages on the spreadsheet representing 4 families. If anyone wants to add their branch in addition, please supply details to Kevin. Current members of our group are in red text.

Short Daily Talk on Gemarra by Zoom in Partnership with Studying Rambam (about 20 mins)

A new section about Sukkot is starting next week.

Our Studying Rambam Series is contributing the Rambam halachos for each page of the Gemarra

Dvar Torah

On the 13th of Elul 1982, one of the points that the Rebbe mentioned was an explanation of the number 85.

I am not sure in what context this was discussed but the Derher magazine has linked it to our New Year which is 5785, as follows:

85 is 5x17

The Hebrew word tov (good) has the numerical value of 17.

The number 5 represents the 5 levels of Chesed (abundant Heavenly giving of kindness)

Therefore 85 represents an overflow of Hashem's Goodness and Blessings.

And so it should be for all of us this year, and for the whole of Klal Yisrael

Wishing everyone a Gut Shabbos, a meaningful Yom Kippur, and a Gmar Chasimah Tovah
