OPPORTUNITY TO REQUEST MIRACLES
Dear Family,
MAZAL TOV TO TALYA DAVIDOFF ON HER ENGAGEMENT TO MICHAEL, THIS WEEK! What wonderful news for Talya, Chanan and Naomi. (Sorry, but I did not get the full name of Michael).Wishing you both, much success in the future, and many more simchos for the whole Family!
Welcome to Esther Miriam Davidoff to our Family email Group. As the grandchildren go over Bar or Batmitzva, they usually get their own emails, and that is what has happened with Esther. So, it is really nice to have you on the Group Esther! Esther is interested in the history and genealogy of our Family, amongst many other things, and so I am posting again the Family Tree made by Kevin. Kevin has marked your name in red Esther, which means that you are now one of the email Group. Wishing you happy exploring of the Family, and feel free to ask questions, contact members, and contribute!
Today is, or has been, the last day of Chanukah, which is also called Zos Chanukah, with all 8 candles plus the shamas burning brightly.
Chanukah has been miraculous for our ancestors, and it continues to be miraculous for us today. And especially on the last day, when the menorah is shining in all its glory.
In relation to this I saw a beautiful short video about one miracle which occurred recently on Zos Chanukah, in our time. We actually know the person to whom the miracle occurred ie Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin.
His trial and imprisonment is well known, but I never knew the connection to Zos Chanukah!
It is a true story about TRUST and MIRACLES

There is lots of deep meaning to the Rubashkin story attached, and so its message is probably adequate for this week.
It is especially, an opportune time on the last day of Chanukah, to request miracles from Hashem, who hears our requests, and responds to our needs.
And this also applies to every day in the year!
Gut Shabbos to all!
