SWEET WELL WATER
Dear Family,
I hope that everyone is well.
Wishing a refuah shleimah for Yechezkiel ben Ester.
Mazal Tov to Sid Davidoff on his birthday this Shabbos. Wishing you a year of good health and happiness Sid! I hope all going well with you and Elaine and Family in Melbourne!
Mazal Tov to Eliana Davidoff on her Batmitzvah Birthday next week. Wishing you much continued success in everything that you do Eliana, and to continue giving your parents much nachas! Also wishing you much joy with every Mitzvah that you can now do officially!
In this week's Sedra Chukas, I saw a short interesting Dvar Torah on the verse, "Then Israel were moved to recite this song - Arise o well...." (21:7)
Based on the works of the Rebbe, rising well-water signifies our aspiration for Divine consciousness.
Just as salty sea water is purified and made drinkable by passing through subterranean channels, so our focus and desires in life are purified by our soul's descent from Heaven into the materialism of this world.
The acute awareness of our distance from G-d, intensifies our yearning for Divine closeness, purging all foreign desires from our consciousness.
The intensity of this yearning elicits an equal Divine response, where Hashem answers our yearning by revealing His presence to us as we study His Torah.
Gut Shabbos to all
