I would like to apologise for the multiple emails that were sent out last week, which was due to a Postmaster Error with one of our email addresses. All part of the fun! But I hope that it did not cause too much inconvenience!

This week's Sedra is Pinchas, and our Sages identify Pinchas with Eliyahu HaNavi.

It is said that Eliyahu HaNavi will herald in the Redemption period.

Our Sages explain that the function of Eliyahu will be more than just the bearer of news.

He will also help to inspire love and harmony in the world, which will make the Redemption become a reality.

Maimonides writes that Eliyahu will come 'solely to spawn peace.'

Spreading peace will then encourage the coming of Mashiach, creating a setting wherein he will desire to enter.

This serves as a lesson to all of us.

That we should work to generate harmony in our own spheres of influence.

This will serve as a catalyst for the ultimate harmony which Mashiach will introduce into the world (From the teachings of the Rebbe, adapted from Keeping in Touch)

Gut Shabbos to all
