Shabbos 2026-05-23 is Shavuos (no weekly parsha in the diaspora); filed under Yom Tov.

Dear Family,

I hope that everyone is well.

Wishing a refuah shleimah for Yechezkiel ben Ester.

MAZAL TOV TO PENINA AND AVI ON THE BIRTH OF A BEAUTIFUL BABY BOY LAST SHABBOS BH. The bris should be at a good and favourable time. Wishing you much nachas from him and all your children BEH. Mazal Tov also on your move to a new home – meshaneh makom, meshaneh mazal letovah!

Mazal Tov to Nechamah Levy on her upcoming Bat mitzvah party next week. Wishing you a lovely party Nechamah and lots of success and happiness for your future with both the material and Spiritual. And wishing Mazal Tov to the whole Levy Family!

As this week is going to be very busy with travellings, Yom Tov, Shabbos, celebrations etc BH and BEH, I am doing the weekly email early, and will include just a short Dvar Torah which I saw.

The word Shavuot has multiple meanings:

· “Weeks” – Because it is the holiday that comes after Counting of the Omer for 7 weeks

· “Oaths” – On this Holiday 2 promises were made

Ø First, Hashem promised that He would not exchange the Jewish People for any other.

Ø Second, we promised that we would not exchange Hashem for another (Book of Our Heritage)

The celebration of Shavuot should inspire each individual to intensify his or her commitment to Torah study.

Each individual should also endeavour to share their Torah knowledge, by establishing a new Torah study session in which he/she will teach others………..( The Rebbe Shavuot 5750 – 1990)

Wishing safe travels for all those travelling, a Gut Yom Tov, Gut Shabbos, and many continued celebrations for all BEH!
