I saw a short and sweet vort this week relating to Rosh Hashanah which starts this Friday night as follows:

The Rebbe the Tzemach Tzedek said:

“After the Evening Prayer of Rosh Hashanah, 2 angels accompany a person.

When they hear how each person greets and blesses his fellow with the blessing, “ May you be inscribed and sealed (in the Book of Life) for a Good Year” (“LeShana tovah tikaseivu vetichaseimu”), they ascend Above with a pure heart to speak favourably on his / her behalf, and plead for a Good and Sweet Year.”

Wishing everyone a Gut Shabbos and a Shanah Tovah Tikaseivu VeTichaseimu
