Mazal Tov to Shlomo Chaim Levy whose birthday is on the Second Seder night! I remember your Mommy bringing you back to our home on Second Day of Yom Tov. And now this is your barmitzvah year BH. Wishing you a wonderful year, and a year where you gear up and take up Torah and Mitzvos with a happy heart. Looking forward to be with you all soon at your celebration in Lag Baomer BEH.

Next birthday Mazal Tov is to Brian Davidoff. Wishing you a good year Brian in good health and happiness. Thank you for staying in touch with our Family in California. You are such a sport!

David Ben Gurion was Israel's Prime Minister when it was a young fledging State, and I saw a cute, light story with significance, when he visited President Eisenhower to obtain support in those difficult times.

John Foster Dulles, who was then Secretary of State, challenged Ben Gurion as follows, 'Tell me Prime Minister, who is your new State to represent. Jews are living all over the world for the last 2000 years. Can you honestly talk about a single Nation with a unique culture?'

David Ben Gurion replied as follows: ' About 300 years ago the Mayflower left England with the first settlers who were going to create the greatest super-power in the world.

Can you do me a favour Mr Secretary - Go out on the streets and find 10 American children and ask them the following questions:

1. What was the name of the Captain of the Mayflower?
2. How long did the trip last?
3. What did the passengers eat on the way?
4. Describe the events which occurred on the journey

I am sure you will agree that there is a good chance that you will not get a satisfactory answer to these questions.

Now on the other hand, not 300 years ago, but more than 3200 years ago the Jews left the Country of Egypt.

I therefore pray that , on your vast travels around the world, that you ask 10 Jewish children in different countries, the following questions:

1. What was the name of the Leader who took the Jews out of Egypt?
2. How long was their journey?
3. What did they eat while crossing the desert?
4. What happened when they found themselves in front of the sea?

Once you get the answer to these questions, I invite you to carefully reconsider your question!!
