Shabbos 2019-04-27 is Pesach (no weekly parsha in the diaspora); filed under Yom Tov.

Dear Family,

I hope everyone is well and enjoying Pesach

Mazal Tov to Batsheva on her birthday next week. Wishing you an amazing year, partly in California with the Family, Batsheva. Enjoy!

And just a short Dvar Torah to do with the 7th day of Pesach, when there was the miracle of the Splitting of the Sea

Thereafter Mosheh and Bnei Yisrael sang a song of Praise to Hashem

The Rebbe explained in a sicha:

The Sages note that Torah uses the future tense to describe this Song ie Az Yashir - Then Moses will sing.

Surely it should have said Az shar -Then Moses sang?!

Our Sages explained that at the time of the splitting of the sea we experienced a revelation from far beyond the realm of time.

Included in that experience was a revelation of the Future Era.

The future tense is a reference to techiyas hamesim - when the dead will come back to life.

Included in the Song of the Sea, was a preview of the future song of the Final Redemption.

May this be very soon, in our days.

Gut Shabbos and Gut Yom Tov to all!
