Dear Family,

I hope everyone is well and still enjoying Nissan, post Pesach.

And I hope everyone had a wonderful Pesach.

Mazal tov to Batsheva on your birthday tonight. I hope you have something exciting arranged! Wishing you a wonderful year!

Mazal tov to Miriam Brocha whose birthday is next week. Wishing you to find your full potential with much joy Miriam!

Mazal Tov Tiferet on your birthday next week. Keep giving your parents much nachas and growing up nicely!

Mazal Tov Nechama on your birthday next week. Wishing you continued growth and achievement in both your learning and your sports!

Mazal Tov to Zeevi whose birthday is on the same day. You have grown up so quick Zeevi. Keep up all the good work and fun!

I also always remember the birthday of my cousin Alden Sacks AH, which comes up this week. And thinking of you both, Froma and Kerry Lee.

The sefira for this week is called Gevurah, which can be translated as Discipline or Restraint, or Awe, or Justice

It gives direction and focus to our life and our love.

Like a LASER BEAM, it's potency lies in the focus and concentration of light in one direction, rather than allowing it to be fragmented and dispersed in many directions.

Gevurah - discipline and measure - concentrates and directs our efforts, and our love, in the proper direction.

Another aspect of Gevurah is Respect and Awe.

Healthy love requires respect for the one that you love (The Counting of the Omer by Rabbi Simon Jacobson)
