GIANTS
Dear Family,
I hope everyone is well.
A big Mazal Tov to Mendel and Freida on the bris today of their new baby boy, who is now named Shlomo BH! And it is well known that ELIYAHU HANAVI attends every bris
May you raise him to Torah, Chuppah and Maasim Tovim with much abundance and joy.
Your speech at the bris was beautiful Mendel.
Today I was given the honour of being the Sandek for the bris of Shlomo, for which I am very grateful to Mendel and Freida, and as such I believe that I am in a position to give brochos, (blessings.) - having sat in the Seat of ELIYAHU
And so I bless all the members of this group and their Families and extended Families, lives full of peace and goodwill between each other and one's associates, and strength to keep progressing and developing in life in all areas, with joy and good health.
All those who need to find partners should find them, and we should continue to have many engagements, marriages and simchos all based on the solid foundations of our Torah, one generation passing on the Traditions to the next.
Hashem should grant everyone, also, their own special needs.
This week was also the Yohrtzeit of the ALTE REBBE (Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi), which followed soon after the Yohrtzeit of the RAMBAM (Maimonides), 2 giants of Klal Yisrael.
In a sicha from The Rebbe that I saw this week, The Rebbe points out that
"The Yohrtzeits of these 2 teachers should inspire us to establish fixed programs of study that focus on their works.
In particular:
1. Strengthening the commitment to the daily study of Rambam's Mishneh Torah (preferably 3 chapters a day, but one can also do 1 chapter a day)
2. Establishing a fixed program of study in the Tanya, and the Alte Rebbe's Shulchan Aruch.
In this context it is worthy to mention the custom of the Chassidim of previous generations, who would study a chapter of Tanya every day before davening Shacharis."
Wishing everyone a Gut Shabbos, a Gut Chodesh, and love to all.
