ANTITHESIS TO AMALEK

A big Mazal Tov to Uncle Chanan whose 70th is today. Congratulations Chanan! Wishing you many more healthy and active years BEH with much happiness!

Mazal Tov to Shmuel and Rivky on their upcoming Anniversary. Wishing you many more happy and healthy years together with much nachas from your whole Family BEH!

Wishing Mommy long life for Dani (Simcha), whose yohrtzeit is this coming week. Her neshamah should have an Aliyah.

Adar is not yet over, and we can still counter Amalek, which is always ready to raise its head.

Amalek is ego and self-centeredness.

This may be expressed in very subtle ways but its core is a feeling of purposelessness.

When a person is self-centred, he feels no obligation to G-d or his fellow man.

The attitude of Amalek is, 'I can do whatever I want. I don't care if I destroy myself or harm others!'

In short it is a path of irrational destruction.

The antithesis of Amalek is a deep feeling of mission and purpose that guides every detail of our lives.

Every action is carefully weighed.

Mashiach demands that we have self-sacrifice to help others. - Mashiach Day by Day 11th Adar 2.
