HUSBANDS AND WIVES
Dear Family,
I hope that everyone is well.
Mazal Tov to my dear wife on her upcoming birthday. Wishing you continued happiness and nachas from the whole Family, and continued success with everything that you do. See dedication Dvar Torah below.
Mazal Tov to Shmuly on his upcoming birthday next week. Wishing you a year of much growth and achievement Shmuly, and beyond the normal, in both gashmius and ruchnius, and with much joy!
I saw an interesting Dvar Torah on this week's Sedra Lech Lecha, from Rabbi Levi Yitzchak's Teachings, and which is also appropriate my wife's birthday coming up next week, and to all husbands and wives, and potential husbands and wives, in general.
(Talmud Bava Metzia 59a)
And R Chelbo said: A man should always be careful to honour his wife, for blessing is found in a man's home only because of his wife. As it is written, (in this week's Sedra, 12:16) "And with Avram he dealt well for (Sarai's) sake."
This is also borne out by what Rava said to the people of Mechoza (the city in which he dwelt): "Honour your wives so that you will become wealthy."
Reb Levi Yitzchak, then goes into a deep and intricate explanation of this passage, but for the purpose of this email, the above quotation will suffice.
So it is with much gratitude that I thank you my dear wife, Rahel, and wish you Mazal Tov on your birthday, and much happiness and success, which extends also to the whole Family and extended Family.
Gut Shabbos to all, and wishing to hear only good news for our People!
