Dear Family,

I hope that everyone is well.

Mazal Tov to Alon Topol, who had his Barmitzvah this week. Alon is the son of Kerry Lee and Roy, and the grandson of Froma. We saw videos of his excellent layening from the Torah and beautiful voice doing Havdallah. We wish you a wonderful and successful future Alon, with keeping of Torah and Mitzvos. And to give much nachas to your Family

Mazal Tov to Mendel Kehaty on his birthday tonight. Wishing you a great year with much new development in both gashmius and ruchnius Mendel, with harchavah, nachas from the children, and much joy.

Mazal Tov to Aaron Glick whose birthday is next week. Aaron is married to Sara (Davidoff). Haven't seen you for a long while Aaron. Wishing you and your Family a great year! Hope all is well.

I heard a very nice Dvar Torah today linked to the work we do on our Emotional Attributes during Sefirat HaOmer, the current world situation that Klal Yisrael is facing, and Lag Baomer which comes up this week.

Mashiach Day by Day 15th Iyar (today):

We are told by the Prophets that there will be a great war at the beginning of the Messianic age, known as the WAR OF GOG AND MAGOG.

The numerical value of Gog and Magog is 70.

This hints that all the 70 Nations of the world will gather together for this war against Israel.

In previous times the Jewish People alternated between being redeemed from one Nation, and then being oppressed by another.

But after the war of Gog and Magog, the Jewish People will be redeemed from all 70 Nations simultaneously by Hashem!

The war of the 70 Nations represents the process of refining our 7 Emotional Attributes.

Every individual has the ability to transform his or her Emotional Attributes.

And because we do not live in a vacuum, every individual has the ability to refine the 70 Nations within himself, thereby liberating the entire world at the same time.

Lag BaOmer

Lag BaOmer and Rebi Shimon Bar Yochai are always connected to the week when we are refining the attribute of HOD in Sefiras HaOmer.

And on Lag Baomer it is HOD in HOD (ie much intensified)

HOD means HUMILITY and ACKNOWLEDGEMENT derived from the Hebrew word HODAAH, meaning GRATEFULLNESS TO HASHEM. (thanking Hashem)

This Attribute recognizes our qualities and strengths, but it also acknowledges that these were given to us by G-d, to be used for a higher purpose, and through this, to transcend our ego natures.

Wishing a Gut Shabbos to all, and much celebration on Lag BaOmer!
