In this week's Sedra Lech Lecha, Hashem blesses Avraham that his children will be like the stars of the heaven (15:5)

On the simple level this means quantitatively, but the Frierdike Rebbe sees it also in a qualitative way as follows:

The Jewish People are compared to stars that sparkle in the Heavens.

Thanks to their light, even a person walking in the darkness of night will not err.

Every Jew, man or woman, has the moral and spiritual power to become a source of influence for his friends and associates and to bring them into the light.
