FRENCH ROOTS

Dear Family,

I hope that everyone is well

We wish Claude well (Yechezkiel ben Ester)

Mazal Tov to Selma (Penn) for her birthday on Shabbos! So nice to have you on the group with us Selma and wishing you a wonderful, happy and healthy year!

Mazal Tov to Ariella (Davidoff) whose birthday is today. Wishing you a happy year Ariella!

Mazal Tov to Ariel Jacobs whose birthday is tonight, and also Mazal Tov to Daniella (Jacobs) whose Hebrew birthday was yesterday. Wishing you both much happiness together and a year of much achievement and joy!

Mazal Tov to Rivka Emuna Davidoff whose birthday is on Shabbos. Wishing you a very happy year Rivka, and to give much nachas to your parents BEH

Birthdays are complicated during Adar with all the intricacies of leap years. I hope I didn't miss anyone out.

For the last few weeks we have been talking about our Family Roots - Lithuania, a possibility of Bukhara etc.

And so I found it interesting to see in Chabad.org this week, an article on the Jews of France

Mommy, Rahel ne Sarfati, traces the Sarfati Family back to Rashi in France!

So I thought that I would do another post of Jewish History, looking back into our FRENCH ROOTS.

I am also attaching the updated version of our FAMILY TREE, to include the new addition to our Family of Sasha Viv.

Thank you for all your work on this Tree, Kevin!

If anyone wants to know how to us the Sheet, or add information, please contact Kevin or myself

Wishing everyone a Gut Shabbos and a Gut Chodesh as we head out of Adar into Nissan!
