Dear Family,

I hope that everyone is well.

MAZAL TOV ON THE BIRTH OF RIVKA EMUNAH TO SHMULY AND DEVORAH LEAH ON ROSH CHODESH ADAR 2! Such wonderful news BH. Wishing you much nachas from her and from the whole Family! See Dvar Torah following.

Mazal Tov for the special Opsher birthday of Shlomo Moshe Vogel on 7 Adar , which is also the birthday and yohrtzeit of Mosheh Rabeinu! Mazal Tov! Wishing Shlomo a wonderful year, and to give his parents much nachas. Wishing you all a beautiful simchah.

Mazal Tov to Chanan (Ashley) on his upcoming birthday next week. Wishing you a year of good health and much happiness, with many simchos for you and your Family Chanan!

Mazal Tov to Batsheva for completing the 10 km Jerusalem marathon in under 1 hour! Well done Batsheva!

Continuing on the theme of ever increasing JOY in Adar and beyond, I came across some interesting teachings about EMUNAH (FAITH), and this was obviously also connected to the birth this week of Rivka Emunah.

Alte Rebbe

In the section of the Alte Rebbe's Siddur, which was an introduction to the 7 Blessings of Marriage Ceremony, I learnt the following:

The Belief and Faith which a Jew has in Hashem, can be seen even in those who are not very learned in Torah, as can be seen generally in women, youth and even very young children.

One can see in their nature, a powerful Emunah in the One G-d, as soon as there has been a slight development of their understanding.

They naturally reach a level which philosophers and intellectuals work very hard to try and reach over many decades of their life. (if they ever reach it at all)

The level which our young reach, is way, way beyond the Zodiac.

This has come about through the Mitzvos which our ancestors have performed, which has drawn down the Infinite light into our beings, and which has then been passed on to our children, who can immediately recognize this Infinite light as they begin to develop.

This started at Mount Sinai when we began to perform Mitzvot.

After the destruction of the Temples, when our levels dropped somewhat, our Sages introduced the saying of Brachot (Blessings) before we do Mitzvot, to address this drop in level.

Mashiach Day by Day

When Mashiach comes, Mosheh Rabeinu will join the 'simple Jews ' in the very first DANCE. This is because Torah does not stand on the shoulders of impressive scholars, but rather on those ordinary Jews with FUNDAMENTAL BELIEF and corresponding actions.

Likewise David HaMelech will take the hands of those Jews who recite Tehillim with simple sincerity, and he will DANCE with them .

Ashreinu, mah tov chelkenu umah naim goralenu umah yafah yerushasenu!

WE ARE HAPPY. HOW GOODLY IS OUR LOT, AND HOW PLEASANT IS OUR FORTUNE, AND HOW BEAUTFUL IS OUR HERITAGE! (Tehillim)

Gut Shabbos to all!
